meet Marissa
Welcome! I’m Marissa Cortes, the founder of Wandernest and a travel designer for culture-curious families, couples, and adventurous souls. I specialize in thoughtfully-curated itineraries for those who are passionate about history, music, the arts, cuisine– and the hotels in which they stay.
A native New Yorker with a global spirit, I travel to uncover the true essence of each destination.
With insider knowledge of cities and villages throughout Europe, South America, and Asia— plus a trusted network of hotels and travel partners worldwide—I craft personalized journeys that go beyond the ordinary. From handpicked accommodations to one-of-a-kind experiences, my team at Wandernest and I design meaningful adventures that create lasting memories.
